This is an absolutely stunning blown glass sculpture, the most beautiful (and technically excellent) piece we've shown to date. Combining old and new, it includes a tremendous amount of murrine, which began with the Romans and was brought back into the light in the 16th century by the Muranese glass masters. These fine details and colorful patterns will keep you engaged and intrigued. At night, this piece will surprise viewers via the inclusion of glow in the dark glass in the center, firmly planting this sculpture in the present day and adding to it's enjoyment day or night.
It's no wonder David is on the leadership council at the world famous Pilchuck Glass School, has done demonstrations at Corning Museum of Glass and is collected by the likes of Elton John.
This sculpture measures approximately 11"x4"x18" tall. It is a one of a kind artwork and can not be special ordered or reproduced.
