Naturally the queen of all fruits because it has a crown! In Hawaiian tradition, pineapples are an expression of "welcome" and symbolize assets we appreciate in our ohana – friendship, hospitality and warmth. To create this piece, Taryn first sculpted a relief texture as the base. She then used a process of staining and sanding in many layers to create the bold and realistic texture of the outer layer "spikes." The crown features gold and silver highlights to embody its royal nature.
