Needing a retreat, Taryn packed up her paints and headed to Black Sand Beach for a camping trip. Taryn and her paints, a hammock, the sound of the ocean and coconut trees. She even named this particular tree "Fritz." It was pure bliss. She used the husks from the fallen coconuts and moss to sculpt the foreground, and oil paint and gilding paste for the rest of the composition.
